Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-27

1.Acceptance

By accessing or using the Victorium Law website (victoriumlaw.com) or its client portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2.No Lawyer–Client Relationship Created by Use

Visiting the website, submitting an intake form, or booking a consultation does not by itself create a lawyer–client relationship. A lawyer–client relationship is formed only when both parties have signed a written engagement letter and the firm has confirmed acceptance of the matter.

Information communicated to the firm before a formal engagement is not subject to solicitor–client privilege.

3.Information for General Purposes Only

Content on this website (including blog posts, FAQs, and resources) is provided for general information only and does not constitute legal advice. Immigration law changes frequently. Do not rely on the website for case-specific decisions. Always consult a licensed practitioner for advice on your specific situation.

4.Eligibility and Account Security

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create a portal account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, including your multi-factor authentication device. Notify the firm immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

5.Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site or portal for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site or to the data of other users
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the systems
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Reverse engineer or scrape any portion of the service
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or threaten any person

6.Payment and Trust Funds

Fees and disbursements are governed by the engagement letter executed between you and the firm. Funds deposited to the firm's trust account are held in accordance with By-Law 9 of the Law Society of Ontario.

7.Intellectual Property

All content on the website (text, graphics, logos, software) is owned by Victorium Law or licensed to it and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use only.

8.Disclaimers

The website is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the firm and its licensees, employees, and consultants are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website. Direct damages are limited to the fees paid by you to the firm in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the firm against any losses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the website.

11.Termination

We may suspend or terminate your portal account at any time for breach of these Terms or for security reasons. Termination of the website account does not automatically terminate the lawyer–client relationship — that is governed by the engagement letter.

12.Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, except for matters that fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Law Society of Ontario or other regulatory body.

13.Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

14.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page indicates when the current version took effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
